Koekje: Holiday Moose

Cookie Baking:

Finally, moose and bears make their appearance as delectable cookies. Covered in vanilla icing and sparking sugar crystals, these northern delights will impress cookie lovers of all ages. The cut sugar cookies were especially hard to wrangle and herd with their dainty boughs and antlers. I treasure making adorable cookies and delight in sharing them as well. Happy Thanksgiving – Enjoy!

Koekje: Halloween

Cookie Baking:

These cookies were picked out for someone who has the sweetest heart. Pumpkins are always used to celebrate Halloween and I wanted to add a little something extra to these cutout sugar cookies with orange icing and extravagant sprinkles. The dough was difficult to cut at first so I ended up freezing the dough and spreading it on the cookie sheet to cut. I enjoyed making these cookies– pumpkins are especially cute and baking is a great way to share happiness with others. If you’re interested, check out The History of Cookies. The name cookie is derived from the Dutch word koekje, meaning small cake. A Happy Halloween for all– see for yourself!
